We welcome residents who participate in the Housing Choice Voucher Program (commonly known as Section 8). At Springfield Development Company, we believe everyone deserves access to safe, well-maintained, and professionally managed housing — and we are happy to work with qualified voucher holders.

The Section 8 program helps make housing more affordable by allowing eligible households to pay a portion of their rent based on income, while the Housing Authority covers the remaining approved amount. This program offers:

Professionally inspected and approved housing options

We have experience working with the program and are familiar with the inspection and approval process. Our team is happy to help make the transition as smooth as possible.

Section 8 vouchers are administered locally through the Housing Authority of Springfield, Missouri. Eligibility, waitlists, and applications are handled directly by the Housing Authority.
